7 km?Feels like 70

There was this gang of friends who used to 'hang out' for two years. When they passed out together from their school together they promised they'd stay in touch, reiterated that they were friends for life and each felt they had the best friends in the world,I did anyway.

Fast forward 2 years they haven't called each other in more than a year. Each has a new gang.Thats expected but they havent kept in touch.Thats not.
Whom do you blame,yourself?Not a chance.Them?Thats not fair .
What ought to startle you is they were genuinely friends who laughed and cried together through the crests and troughs. So within 7 km from Mahim to Bandra exist the gangsters totally out of touch who for some reason dont bother calling and catching up anymore.

But whats the point of the post?
History repeats itself i.e. unless we learn from our past.
Every institution throws up a maximum of 3 'friends for life[if your really lucky]' so don't use that term lavishly cause itll come back to haunt you.

Ive seen it happen Ive experienced it and I dont want to experience it again.Point taken.
