Of schools and colleges

Righto,It's been a while since I posted something sensible on this blog so here I go.

The XII standard is over and I'm turning 18 in less than 2 months...big deal?Yes actually.
1st off-I've had such a blast that I actually don't regret joining Vidyalaya anymore.The interhouse games,interschool games,english and evs period jokes,ISS,festivals,summer of 69,teachers day shows,rao class jokes and what not.The most fun days of my life probably went by in the last two years...Sure I've made many many friends whose company and jokes I'm surely going to miss /cherish but as usual very few who I'm really going to try and keep in touch with.Having said that this school sure has been one hell of an experience.I've survived Rajhans food[yes I ate regularly too :/ ],I can survive most things.

Now onto college...the real deal.Its exciting and would be excellent if I go to a hostel but wouldn't be too bad anyway even if I'm with my folks.Excited to meet new people?Not really,no...Would've loved it if the same old gangs joined me in a different environment but it shouldn't be a problem making new friends at all.Teachers?Who cares?Rajhans equipped us to face inefficient teachers.Girls?Not looking at all cause I'm v v happy with my state right now.Drugs?Smoking?No way.Drinking?Socially maybe :/...Party?Would have to do that...So here we go again,to a new place where nobody knows you and judges you on preformed opinions and you can be yourself/who ever you want yourself to be...too much freedom?I'll get back to that point 4 years later.

7 km?Feels like 70

There was this gang of friends who used to 'hang out' for two years.When they passed out together from their school together they promised they'd stay in touch,reiterated that they were friends for life and each felt they had the best friends in the world,I did anyway.

Fast forward 2 years they haven't called each other in more than a year.Each has a new gang.Thats expected but they havent kept in touch.Thats not.
Whom do you blame,yourself?Not a chance.Them?Thats not fair .
What ought to startle you is they were genuinely friends who laughed and cried together through the crests and troughs.So within 7 km from Mahim to Bandra exist the gangsters totally out of touch who for some reason dont bother calling and catching up anymore.

But whats the point of the post?
History repeats itself i.e. unless we learn from our past.
Every institution throws up a maximum of 3 'friends for life[if your really lucky]' so don't use that term lavishly cause itll come back to haunt you.

Ive seen it happen Ive experienced it and I dont want to experience it again.Point taken.

Sony Ericsson W 710i

Well heres my first serious post
Alongside this shoddy post is the sony ericsson W710i phone and Ive decided to give it a review 4 months after purchasing it


pros:
-great design

-durable ...Ive dropped it twice and V's dropped it once but you would never be able to tell

-Walkman feature is something else...also it has an inbuilt pedometer[counts your steps] though I dont require the latter so much
-Display Visible in most lighting conditions

-quick keys everywhere :)

-Pair of stylish head turning earphones

-512 MMC complementary with this model so cheapskates like me dont need a new MMC soon


Cons:
-The plastic keypad does feel a bit tacky at times

-No zooming in the pictures :O :O :O :O :O :O

-Get a nagging feeling the rubber pad outside will pop off [read about this happening so its not one of my unfounded fears]



This is a great phone and with Sony stopping its production[can anyone confirm this?]
this phone is for a priviledged few lol

I got this for close to 10 k at alpha and it was well worth the deal
